Primeros Años y Herencia Musical

Rufus McGarrigle Wainwright nació el 22 de julio de 1973 en Rhinebeck, Nueva York. Hijo de los famosos músicos n Loudon Wainwright III y Kate McGarrigle, Rufus creció en una atmósfera saturada de talento y creatividad. Desde n temprana edad, Rufus mostró un marcado interés por la música y, con apenas seis años, comenzó a tomar clases de piano. Su infancia n en Montreal y Nueva York estuvo marcada por las frecuentes actuaciones familiares y el ambiente artístico que le rodeaba.

La Adolescencia y los Primeros Pasos en la Música

A los 13 años, Rufus ya tocaba en cafeterías locales y, a los 14, recibió una nominación al premio Genie por su tema “I'm a-Runnin” n de la película “Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveller”.
