We know far too little about time, and we can't even perceive its existence properly
What we can sense is merely the change in objects, never time itself
The clock runs, the heart pulses, and the winter comes
When you take a step forward, the world shifts a step back
You sense the presencе of that one step in time
And if thе world were to stop moving completely, our time would also cease
The clock hands would stand still, the heart would stop beating, and the lake would freeze over with cold ice
You wouldn’t be able to walk, let alone breathe or think
And in winter, such things can often happen
In a world where everything is at a standstill, sometimes, just occasionally, something moves ever so slightly
Whether it's due to causality or whim, in a moment much shorter than a second, for example, the trees sway, a droplet falls, or the clouds shift
When you notice this, you remember time
Cold air fills your lungs
The city slowly begins to move again in your retinas
Taking a small breath to steady yourself, as you take a step forward
The world rushes toward you like a gust of wind!
